Amusement Park Simulations

Indian Creek High School

Technology Education Program

Instructor - Mr. Travis East

New - Reflections from Students about the Project

Directions - Complete as many of the simulations as you can from the table below. For 2D simulations, you can use the Geometer's Sketchpad. For 3D rides, you may use 3DsMax and/or Alice 2.2 to create and animate the simulations. Customized rides will be accepted and points will be distributed by difficulty. The grading scale is at the bottom of this page. You have four weeks to accomplish as many rides as you can. Good luck to you.

Before you begin working on these simulations, you should probably refresh your memory on the tools needed to complete them. The Instructions Page will walk you through each of the 2D transformations in the Geometer's Sketchpad software.

Grading Scale

The instructor reserves the right to give partial credit for work deemed insufficient.

The Instructor may also ask any student to demonstrate the inner workings of the simulation.

Teachers - need a way to convert a grading chart like this one to your own grading scale. Feel free to download and use Austin Mudd's Percent Converter to systematically convert points to a percent.
